Caregiver needed for Mrs. Helen! She is a 94yr woman. She is a little lady around 4'8. She is bed bound due to arthritis and atrophy and needs help with her daily tasks like medication, feeding, and bathroom needs. All bathroom is done in bed as she can no longer use the potty chair. Must be able to transfer her from bed to wheelchair & vice versa. She does have tremors and awful arthritis so being gentle and patient is a must. Being able to speak loud and clear is also a must bc she is very hard of hearing.
She has developed memory problems and does require extra patience in that regard. Because of this, we record all Vitals and Bowel Movements on her Calender and have medication pre-portioned out in daily AM/PM pill organizers.
She is under the care of Hospice currently and does receive bathing 3x weekly, nursing weekly, social work, and religious visits. She also receives Meals on Wheels on weekdays for lunch.
She does live at home with us so we will be able to provide support should you need assistance. We also have a cat & dog in the home that are both very friendly but wanted to notate incase of potentional allergies.
Job Responsibilities:
Taking and recording Vitals
"Bed bound" bathroom needs, includes use of bed pan for urine and having her lay sideways for BMs.
Prepping and serving meals
Medication administering (at the time of posting, only pills - no injectables)
Ability to transfer her from bed to wheelchair and vice versa.
Keeping her room tidy
Keeping up her daily hygiene & brushing her hair
Providing her company - she loves to tell stories of her life growing up on a farm. She is very sweet and enjoys company.
Looking for someone with good attendance that can work 9am - 7pm Monday, Tuesday, and every other Friday. Pay rate would be $12 p/hour.
