Description:These roles will be specifically used to support a procurement of components that incorporate welding for new nuclear plants builds. The roles will review submitted vendor documents against design, material, and fabrication requirements.Welding Processes: Familiarity or expertise in the following welding processes: GTAW and resistance welding. Code and Standards Knowledge ASME BPVC Section III Division 1 and Section IX, and AWS A2.4 and A3.0. Design Support Ability to review a design with welds for application of welding symbols, conformance to Codes, and make recommendations for joint designs while collaborating in a productive and respectful manner with the responsible engineer to ensure a successful output.Documentation:Ability to develop process specifications, welding procedures, inspection procedures and weld qualification reports.Procurement Support:Provide technical support through Sourcing for fabricator welding procedure and weld qualification reviewsMaterials:Familiar with the physical and welding metallurgy of austenitic stainless steels. Desirable familiarity with aluminum, carbon steels, low alloy steels and nickel base alloys.Demonstrates expertise in the following

Experience reviewing and understanding weld process documents and intended weld design functional support

Strong oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to review, update and write organized engineering documents per a defined process

Strong interpersonal and proven leadership skills

Knowledge of welding defects and their causes

Familiar with the physical and welding metallurgy of austenitic stainless steels
