As an AWS Software Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for the overall architecture of the nCino platform, policies, and procedures. You will work to design product features and help research new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies. Working with product managers and development teams, your experience and contributions will help to guide the technical direction of nCino.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop sustainable enterprise software, integrations, and system architectures on the AWS platform
  • Contribute to the development of cross-team, framework-level projects
  • Maintain minimum AWS platform application deployment standards (governance, cost management and tech deb perspective)
  • Work with Infrastructure engineering team to ensure standards and reference solutions are develop with respect to the domain areas (Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, etc.)
  • Understand software requirements leading to the selection and implementation of appropriate technical public cloud architectural solutions.
  • Ensuring the software and development requirements align to the defined infrastructure service standards
  • Optimizing and tuning designs based on performance and root cause analysis
  • Analysis of existing solutions alignment to infrastructure standards and providing feedback to both evolve and mature the solution

Qualifications

Required:
  • Experience working in the AWS cloud environment or other cloud environment
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts and development experience, preferred TypeScript, Java, or other strongly-typed, object-oriented languages
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Effective problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently problem solve and research solutions
  • Ability to engage within an engineering team via collaborative design, peer code review, and process improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for developing cloud solutions for scalability, reliability, security, and performance
  • Broad understanding/experience across full stack infrastructure technologies
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of experience, or combination experience.

Desired:
  • Experience in Fintech or related business domains.
  • Experience of designing public cloud platforms associated with large, complex application stacks such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies
  • AWS certifications: Foundational Cloud Practitioner, Associate Developer, Associate (or Professional) Solutions architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator or other.
