Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!We are looking for a Senior Production Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Senior Production Manager provides leadership and expertise in establishing and maintaining an efficient manufacturing program in support of the division’s strategic plan.You will develop efficiency strategies to ensure the attainment of business metrics and production goals with special attention to budgetary requirements. The Sr. Production Manager is responsible for promoting a culture that focuses on safety, quality, cost, and delivery while actively driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and acting as a liaison for the factory, maintaining sound working relationships with internal and external partners.The Senior Production Manger will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure production success through careful strategy development and deployment.All Production Managers will report directly into the Senior Production Manager.Roles & Responsibilities

Manage the factory’s production activities, managing and reporting operational KPI’s, and overseeing operational improvements.

Responsible for 6S initiatives across each manufacturing line and will have a strong focus on employee Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Cost, and Inventory Control.

Responsible for promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion. Moreover, this role is responsible for ensuring that resources are properly assigned to meet our customer demand.

Provide the operational leadership of the production organization to meet production requirements for Safety, Quality, OTD, Inventory Control, and Productivity to meet our customers’ expectations.

Develop, monitor, maintain, and improve key performance indicators to measure production performance to targets and daily metrics of production goals vs. achievements.

Eliminate wastes, improve cycle times, reduce thru-put times in production.

Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.

Process optimizations, procedures, and instruction updates in alignment with the Technical Department.

Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.

Develop new leaders and increase employee’s competency level.

Drive an ownership culture where all employees feel they are an integral part of the business.

Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all employee representative levels.

Manage production order tasks in Salesforce.com.

Ensure accurate manufacturing hours in SAP production bill of materials.

Participate actively during audits and customer visits.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree, typically within Business Management, Operations, Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or working knowledge of a manufacturing facility including previous management experience leading production organizations.

Must be able to demonstrate leadership, provide tactical supervision, and effectively delegate prioritized work assignments to subordinate staff while understanding of the critical success factors in a Manufacturing/Operations environment.

Strong process mindset demonstrated in process improvement role. Lean manufacturing experience.

Result and solution oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have excellent communication and team skills to create and effectively maintain positive work environment with co-workers and management.

Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.

Ability to prioritize and to work under pressure and act independently.

Collaborating well with key functions like Engineering, Scheduling, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and other functions.

Knowledge of MS Office; SAP, Salesforce.com.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear / Breaker products would be beneficial

The pay range for this position is $105,910 - $181,560 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
