- Leads and directs the work of others.
- Leads month-end closing process for all subsidiary companies including closing review with Controller and presents monthly financial results to Business Unit leadership.
- Ensures adherence to internal controls, accounting policies/procedures and GAAP.
- Leads the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Analyzes inventory levels, production speed and sales forecasts to determine reorder levels.
- Collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor; analyzes data obtained and records results.
- Oversee development and maintenance of bills of materials and standard costs.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Performs fixed asset accounting including capitalization decisions, asset life determination, depreciation calculations and subledger maintenance.
- Prepares daily cash position statement.
- Reviews accounts payable aging and vendor statements.
- Reviews accounts receivable aging.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- 6+ years of related experience required, 3+ years in a management position.
- Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred but not required
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
