The individual in this role will be managing the process technicians reporting in to the organization for the front end of the week. This will be a compressed shift schedule managing the night and day teams on the front end schedule, which would require 12 hour support on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Wednesday.This posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the John Palmour Manufacturing Center for Silicon Carbide, our expansion site in Siler City, NC. The person in this role will train at our Durham, NC headquarters initially and will move over to the new site once ready.The Day-to-Day:Build, coach, and lead a diverse team of process engineers and techniciansSustain and improve critical wafer manufacturing processes for Power productsOrganize and manage projects that positively impact costs and product yields while maintaining both near and long-term roadmapsParticipate in strategic planning, including tool selectionPartner with the Operations, Equipment, Integration, Yield, and R&D engineering teams to ensure effective new product and process introductions as well as consistent device performance and qualityInterface with equipment engineering, management, and manufacturing to improve cycle time, tool availability, process/product yield, and drive cost reductionsDrive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentThis Job is Right for You if You Have:Previous management experienceExcellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutionsWorking knowledge of applied statistics (SPC/DOE) and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 whys, and DMAICExperience managing large sets of dataExcellent MS Office skillsHigh energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with coworkers of different backgrounds at every level of the companyThis role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.This role requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
