Excellent knowledge of building codes.
Ability to perform at the journey level in 2+ of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering.
Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints, read and interpret building codes, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to direct the work of other skilled workers.
Demonstrated ability to plan projects, assign tasks, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Notes
You may be required to work at another facility as directed by your Supervisor or lead mechanic.
Unscheduled overtime may be required during building emergencies, and the role involves callbacks to assist with building emergencies after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
You will need to work during bad weather conditions.
We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, Ill or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
Education and Experience
High School/GED Diploma, and
2+ years of relevant experience; or
An equivalent combination of training and experience.
