Job Overview
I have a well-established, small residential remodeling company based in Northern Johnston County, NC and do work in the surrounding areas. I am currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated carpenter to join our team on a 1099 contractor basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of construction and remodeling, showcasing expertise in carpentry. This role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work effectively on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations.
Duties
Perform remodeling tasks including but not limited to trim carpentry, frame carpentry, .
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute projects accurately.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
Install cabinets, doors, siding, and flooring while ensuring a high level of craftsmanship.
Execute water damage restoration and rot repair.
Carry out heavy lifting as required during the remodeling process.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
Proven experience in the remodeling or restoration industry is preferred.
Proficiency in carpentry techniques with ability to think outside the box.
Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
Ability to perform plumbing tasks and basic electrical work as needed is a plus but not required.
Experience with tile laying and flooring installation is a plus.
Knowledge of caulking and painting, and finishing.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Must have own cell phone.
Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
Occasional ladder, scaffolding, and/or crawlspace work.
Have your own transportation to and from base location.
Have your own tool bags and basic hand tools.
