MECHANICAL INSULATION INSULATOR
Job brief:
Mechanical Duct Insulation: Needs to have 5 years experience insulating duct work with FSK wrap insulation. Know energy code to know what type of insulation needs to be installed where. Capable of reading plans to designate what gets insulated. Majority of insulation projects will be ductwork.
Mechanical piping insulation: Need to be experienced and detailed in installation of fibrous glass, foam glass, pvc and aluminum jacket.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
Must have valid drivers license and can pass a background check
Knowledge of insulation installation.
Strong understanding of code requirements for insulation installation.
Basic Hanger and support knowledge for all different applications
Proper safety and material handling techniques
Meet key productivity goals as set by the company.
Maintain truck stock and inventory within company guidelines; including, but not limited to, ladders, power tools, fittings,
fasteners, and hand tools
Work with General contractors and other trades, field support, and office staff for job coordination/completion and scheduling.
Take ownership of work performed and have accountability for actions.
Help gain material list if needed for insulation projects.
Help schedule and install rough in boxes for controls as required on projects. (Can explain in further detail)
