Tin Roof Teas is dedicated to bringing the world’s finest teas and chocolates to North Carolina. Our tea consultants help customers discover flavors and learn new tea making techniques. With over 250 premium teas and herbs, you’ll develop a passion for our quality teas.

Whether our customers are novices or connoisseurs, our consultants will guide them through the collection. Our tea consultants teach customers how tea is best prepared and what tastes to pair the tea with. Our tea consultants can even provide information about the health benefits and history of the teas.

We are committed to providing the highest quality products, customer satisfaction, and education. As a Tea Consultant you will have a solid understanding of the product and the ability to handle most customer service issues without assistance. Your primary role will be catering to our customers and their needs. You are the first and last person the customer sees before leaving the store. By ensuring your impression is positive, you can impact whether or not that customer will return in the future.

Tea Consultant

Tin Roof Teas, Village District, Raleigh, NC

Part-time Position

Compensation: dependent upon experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Fast learner with the ability to work with multiple customers quickly, while providing a high quality of service.

Helps customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions.

Promotes sales by demonstrating the functionality of products to customers and recommending accompanying products.

Opening/closing store; running and balancing system reports.

Attracts customers by originating display ideas; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases, and on sales floor.

Fulfilling orders for wholesale accounts; preparing merchandise for delivery from online orders.

Responsible for daily store cleaning and maintaining a safe store environment.

Weekly inventory checks required to validate system inventory levels; assisting with processing new inventory upon arrival.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge (industry reading)

Skills/Qualifications: Customer Service, Presentation Skills, Analyzing Information, Understanding the Customer, Verbal and Written Communication

Minimal amount of travel required for events/shows.

Must be able to work holidays/weekends.
