With both large and small-Scale commercial metal stud construction, we work in many areas including corporate centers, retail malls, educational institutions, churches, data centers, healthcare and high-rise offices, and residential buildings.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Construction Estimator at V&C Drywall Construction Inc. you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs and timelines to support our project bidding and planning processes. You will collaborate closely with our project management team, subcontractors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.

Conduct material takeoffs and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to accurately estimate project costs.

Utilize construction estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses.

Review and negotiate subcontractor bids to optimize project costs and timelines while maintaining quality standards.

Monitor project progress and costs, identify potential costs overruns, and implement cost-saving measures as needed.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and construction best practices to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

Requirements:

3-5 Years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial.

Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and regulations.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant certifications (Certified Construction Estimator, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification) are a plus.
