Civil Project Engineer II/III - Roadway Design Transportation Group

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Roadway Design Transportation Group candidate to join our Roadway Design Transportation Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Lay out horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for road widening projectsModel and design roadway improvement projects using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads DesignerUse 3D visualization software for client and public communication presentationsDevelop plan sheets and compile project packages for project submissionComplete roadway and drainage calculations utilizing software and reference materialAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesResearch and download available GIS open-source dataComplete field observations and data collection for office use and project discussionLearn new technology to advance own skill set and group knowledgeAttend project meetings with clients and contractorsSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelors or master's degree in civil engineering or closely related fieldIdeal candidates would have at least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway designBentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency preferredAutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency preferredVDOT experience preferredEIT preferred
