You only have to apply once to be considered for both positions.Position will function as an Engineering Technician I in the Division 1, District 1 Field Office in Elizabeth City, North Carolina located in Pasquotank County. Positions in this class perform technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as construction, material testing, design, surveys, and/or program and regulatory compliance. Work may include inspection for compliance and/or code, collection and analysis of field data, testing of materials, review, modification, and/or design of plans, analysis of engineering related data, products and/or functions or inputting of specific project information into HiCams system including, but not limited to sampling material received including bill of materials, pay record quantities including ticket items, densities including both soil and asphalt, and verifying final estimate quantities and data with respect to work accomplished on construction projects. Employee must have the ability to legally operate a state vehicle. Safety Toe shoes are required.
