What You'll Do Do you have what it takes? The Technical Services Organization is a team of world-class technical experts whose primary focus is to help customers deploy and operate their networks effectively while delivering the best possible customer experience.Who You'll Work With The Enterprise Routing and Switching Team provides third level technical support on a global basis via phone, email, web, and remote access for Catalyst Switching and Enterprise Routing products to our customers, partners and other teams. In this role you will gain insight on the detailed functionality of our Catalyst Switching products and partner with all distributed elements of engineering and the service chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning complex network technologies in a dynamic and fast paced environment.Who You Are Role & Responsibilities You'll provide level 3 technical support for Catalyst Switching products You can analyze, configure and troubleshoot layer-2 / layer-3 enterprise switched networks Build moderate-to-complex lab setups to duplicate and solve customer problems You love developing and delivering technical training's to global delivery partners and other teams You work with software engineering to improve product quality by filing software defects and testing fixesMinimum Qualifications Bachelors degree required or 4+ years related experience You have working knowledge of layer 2 / layer 3 protocols and technologies, including: Spanning Tree DHCP Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP) Multicast (PIM & IGMP) MPLS QoS VLAN and VTP Etherchannel VSS Stackwise Virtual Wireshark Experience troubleshooting network or application performance issues Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to effectively use Windows/MacOSDesired Skills Strong scripting/automation (Python) Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches (9200, 9300, 9400, 9500, 9600) and Enterprise Routers (ISR, ASR, 8200, 8300, 8500) Hands on experience using network sniffers and troubleshooting tools such as traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent, Colasoft), Customer Support experience is preferred Cisco Certifications: CCIE, CCNP This position must reside in Raleigh, North Carolina EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
