Supv Patient Access

Responsible for effecting ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency by supervising employees within the designated area of responsibility (Admissions, Outpatient and ER Registration) within the Department of Patient Access. Responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing the same. Completes scheduling of shifts to ensure 24 hours a day 7 days a week coverage in the Patient Access Department.At Novant Health, one of our core values is diversity and inclusion. Therefore, we invite applicants from all group dynamics to apply to our exciting career opportunities.Education: High School Diploma Required Associates Degree Preferred Associates degree in business related field Preferred Experience: Minimum three years experience in patient access, registration, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a medical environment Required Minimum three years prior leadership experience Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: Additional Skills Required: Insurance, billing and related regulatory/governing standards, policies, and procedures; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; ability to develop learning plans, give and receive feedback, and coach and counsel staff; staffing, scheduling; customer feedback and impact on core processes; delegation, team building, decision making, conflict management, change management skills; verbal and written communication skills that are sensitive to diversities among age groups, cultures, and educational levels.
