Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a multi-faceted approach to overseeing Dispatch, scheduling/load-planning, Safety & DOT, and have frontline communication with drivers while providing exceptional customer service and inspirational leadership.
Strong knowledge of milk hauling and the dairy industry is essential to this position
Qualifications:
- Must have current Class A CDL / Med Card - Two Years Minimum with tanker endorsement
- Comprehensive understanding of Logistics, Dairy handling standards, Supply Chain, and DOT regulations
- Experience leading a team(s), operation(s) or fleet of drivers preferred
- Previous dispatching or scheduling of dairy commodities preferred
- J.I.T. or supply chain experience
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Sheets/Docs, Adobe)
- Strong work ethic and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Capable of maintaining efficiency and sensibility in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforce policy compliance to ensure service level commitments are met and exceeded
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational success of our local milk collection and regional fleet
- Provides direction and guidance to dispatchers to ensure consistency in the execution of their job duties and compliance to all standardized procedures and practices
- Encourage safety in all actions and behaviors
- Fosters an environment where all employees are encouraged and supported in reaching their full potential
- Prompt replies to Emails, Phone calls and Texts from Drivers, Dispatchers, Customers and Management
- Regularly Problem-solves/troubleshoots equipment/ logistics challenges
- Facilitates conflict-resolutions between Employees/Drivers/Customers/ and Management
