Job description:
We are looking for an Equipment Hauler full time or part time. The Equipment Hauler will transport equipment in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities include: planning each route based on road/traffic conditions and locations of deliveries, strapping the equipment safely per DOT standards, and keeping the vehicles clean and properly maintained. This position will also inspect the equipment for damages before and after deliveries. To be considered for the Hauler position, you must have a valid CDL, maintain all DOT requirements, and pass random drug screenings. Responsibilities for Hauler:
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Pick up/drop off rental equipment from the place and at the time they’ve requested
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Keep the vehicles clean and properly maintained
Inspect the equipment for damages before and after deliveries
Skills:
Proven experience as a Equipment Hauler
A valid CDL
A clean driving record
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of rental equipment or willingness to learn
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to operate rental equipment/machinery
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
