Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), a division of Volvo Group North America, provide state-of-the-art research, engineering, product planning and project execution to final delivery of complete products and also support the products in the aftermarket.Position DescriptionWe are currently looking for a student to work with our Geometrical Architecture, Verification and Platform team as an intern - Mechanical Engineer. The student should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment; gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering. As a valued member of Cab Engineering within GTT, the student will have the opportunity to work directly with the cross-functional engineering team to find and troubleshoot geometrical issues related to physical packaging, assembly and service in cab development.GTT’s goal is to contribute to the student’s development, as well as providing an opportunity for the student to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry. This position will report to the group manager of the Cab Architecture.Position Responsibilities
Solve real world engineering problems involving the design, testing and/or manufacturing of vehicle complete cab.
Partake in and document physical and virtual reality builds for project development
Maintain and support existing systems, tools, and admin support to other members of the team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, analytic and critical thinking skills

Internship Education and Program Requirements
Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship
This Summer Internship requires 40 hours per week from May 18, 2020 through August 14, 2020 and must be enrolled in fall academic classes during the internship.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
