We are seeking a Senior Scientist, Assay Development - TSAIL to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham, NC .We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for developing assays and methods within expected cost and timelines. You will serve as a technical and scientific subject matter expert, participating in and leading the technical transfer of assays to Laboratory Operations.What you’ll be doing:

Developing, performing, and documenting all analytical procedures with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in accordance with current SOPs, regulations, and guidelines.

Performing data analysis for the validation of analytical procedures and establish assay performance expectations and results tolerances.

Identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting assay performance, noting any unusual results and escalating to senior lab personnel.

Establishing, performing, and documenting hands-on training of Laboratory staff in areas of demonstrated competency as assigned.

Overseeing, understanding, and training Laboratory operations personnel as part of the technology transfer of assays, ensuring they are performed according to established methods and best practices.

Promoting individual accountability for quality and safety across the team. Participating in quality and safety investigations and result CAPAs.

Contributing to scientific literature and conferences, internal reports, documentation, and communications.

Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure assays are sustainable and scalable for laboratory operations.

Providing input on technical inquiries and lead troubleshooting projects, including root cause analysis and advanced problem-solving.

Applying advanced knowledge in the preparation of scientific proposals and collaborating with colleagues to develop timelines and determine project resources for proposal costing and scope.

Complying with corporate policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for:

PhD in Immunology or related discipline preferred, or Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant scientific discipline.

At least 3-5 years of prior experience in assay development or specific methodology area.

Superior communication skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and capability of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in office productivity software and relevant statistical analysis.

Ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of assay development best practices, flow cytometry, ELISpot/Fluorospot, and data analysis practices.

Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control preferred.

Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
