The individual must also be proficient in the understanding of accounting concepts including month-end procedures, account and bank reconciliations, financial analysis, and treasury functions. Good communication skills, problem-solving and attention to detail are required.This is an entry-level accounting positionESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in month-end close process and revenue report generation – month-end process, monitor and track other functional areas to ensure they close on time.

Account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts (fixed assets, A/R related)

Work with Accounting Manager on financial audit lead sheets and facilitate its process to ensure a timely completion.

Day-to-day troubleshooting and ad-hoc reporting

Collections as needed.

Follow up on invoice discrepancies.

Serve as a liaison between other accounting personnel – assist and mentor A/P on proper coding, A/R on credit, collection, and invoicing issues.

Assist finance department as needed on special projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

Must possess one or more of the following:

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related degree

An Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related degree with a minimum of one (1)-year of experience in a related field

Exceptional Organizational skills

Strong attention to detail
