Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced AV Techs with at least 1+ year of experience configuring and installing racks, camera's, microphones, conferencing equipment and TV's to a central system. AV Leads should have 3+ years of industry experience (CTS preferred). AV Techs preferably should have hand’s on experience working with Cisco Room Kits, Extron, Crestron, BiAmp, or QSC. The AV Tech will need to have experience using punch down tool with 66 and 110 blades, snipes and knife and will be doing punch downs in the com closets and terminating jacks. The AV should have strong understanding of low voltage wiring and NEC requirement. The AV Tech will be working in a client facing environment and should be presentable and professional. The AV tech will be working with our client’s local customers completing AV installation work, cabling work as necessary, and troubleshooting as needed. The AV tech should have the ability to install and test AV equipment in order to make sure it’s operational before leaving the jobsite. The AV tech will be responsible for making sure all cabling is neat and hidden from site as much as possible. The AV tech is required to have their own personal laptop for configurations or for the corp office to remote login to assist with configs.Top Skills' Details
Customer facing skills
CAT V and CAT VI , Mic Wire, Speaker cable , termination skills
Hands-on experience working on commercial AV projects . (Ask for specifics around the size of project, what was done, where the work was completed, and scope of work).
Testing and Installation experience of Speakers, Camera's, TV's, Conference Room set-up's displays (Preferably experience working with Cisco Webex Room Kits. )
Experience configuring Cisco Webex room kits ( If not someone from the office can remotely login to configure)
Knowledge and ability to Bi-Amp preferred
Working experience with AV Equipment providers such as Creston, Extron, Bi-Amp, Cisco Webex, QSB
Programming experience of AV equipment huge plus. but not necessary
Must be willing to Travel if needed. This will not be weekly, but candidate should be open to travel as necessary.
Must have a working vehicle under they go perm and will be provided a company vehicle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to climb a 8-10ft ladder.
Must have a reliable vehicle AND a personal laptop.
Must have a credit card for expenses which will be reimbursed according to expense benchmarks.
Must have basic AV tools such as punch down tool, screwdriver, wire striper, and a 8-10 ft ladder.

Mileage will be reimbursed from home to job site at the current IRS Mileage rate
$55 per day will be provided per diem (Based on overnight travel)
Travel time will be paid @ hourly rate
