Accounting Manager

Description We are in the process of hiring an Accounting Manager in Conover, North Carolina. The role is within the manufacturing industry, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage intercompany accounts, handle month-end closing, and prepare financial statements. This role is a permanent position with the opportunity to transition into a leadership role within the organization.Responsibilities: Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate recording. Handle month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is captured and reported correctly. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, providing clear and accurate financial data for the organization. Conduct freight reconciliation and credit card reconciliation to ensure accuracy in the financial records. Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing key financial insights for decision making. Oversee the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting functions, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Perform hands-on tasks as necessary, demonstrating a commitment to the team and the organization's goals. Engage in auditing tasks as necessary, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within an accounting department. Proven expertise in handling accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. Extensive experience in auditing, with a focus on identifying and rectifying discrepancies. Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close procedures accurately and within deadlines. Proficiency in intercompany accounting, including the ability to manage and reconcile intercompany transactions. Experience in calculating and analyzing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Strong knowledge and understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or similar certification preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
