Position DescriptionAt a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aManufacturing Supervisorto join the EWS Team in Concord, NC. This individual will be responsible for direct supervision of all production operations in assigned departments, cells or areas, including planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. What Will You Do?
Responsible for maintaining uninterrupted production flow or high-quality products in the most economical way within the manufacturing limits.
Fairly administer company rules and policies and adhere to Union contract provisions.
Regularly educate employees in safe working processes, environmental compliance issues, personal health and safety issues, and general housekeeping conditions.
Provide leadership for quality within the group. Is accountable for the total quality environment.
Promote cross training and continuous improvement for all employees to:
Provide a greater depth of knowledge per average employee
Create more flexibility on all levels of the manufacturing process.
Ensure existence and use of safety devices and equipment
Accountable for meeting production plan, and in doing so, plan and control the efficient use of manpower, machines, and other resources to meet and continuously improve upon established standards.

Assure equipment and tooling is routinely and preventatively maintained.

QualificationsEducation:
A.S. degree in business, technical or related, BS preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum five years in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of two years effectively leading others.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Must have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others. Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.
Requires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must.
Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load.
Basic computer skills, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software
Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment. Must foster open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
