There are a number of joists in a single family house attic that have a gap between the joist and the beam they tie in to. I need someone comfortable with remediating this type of issue. I believe there are two approaches that can be taken, but if you have other ideas, I'd love to hear them. The first approach would be to replace the joists. The second is to remove the nails and (possibly) hanger, and slide the existing joist forward into the beam, before reattaching the hanger. I think the second approach would be easier.
There are about 15 beams that need to be fixed. Please see the photos and give me a price estimate. Ready to move forward ASAP (next 1-2 weeks).
