Design, develop, and implement complex databases using new technologies.

Work on multiple complex projects and participate in activities related to special initiatives or operations.

Participate in all aspects of database design such as designing for replication, performance monitoring-tuning, backup and recovery, scripting, software installation and upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Provide backup, restore and replication support for production databases.

Administer database users and database security in accordance with mandatory enterprise-wide guidelines.

Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues that affect the systems, servers and database related products.

Administer Oracle 12c, 11g/10g database production, test and development environment on IBM-AIX using RMAN, Dataguard, Data Pump, Control M, Apache, BI publisher, Crontab Golden Gate and Apex.

Utilize Grid Control to administer multinod RAC database also managed redo and undo in the RAC environment, loaded balancing of RAC instances.

Use Data Pump for export and import, writing scripts for Backup of databases, maintenance of archive logs for databases and streamlined backup procedures and implemented RMAN for backup and disaster recovery.

Design, develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts to collect and monitor database metrics and Stats pack snapshots and reports.

Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Information Assurance, Computer Science or related; and

3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

Administering Oracle 12c, 11g/10g database production, test and development environment on IBM-AIX using RMAN, Dataguard, Data Pump, Control M, Apache, BI publisher, Crontab Golden Gate and Apex;
