VCA Stoney Creek Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!VCA Stoney Creek is an AAHA-accredited veterinary practice that has been part of the North Charlotte/University community for over 20 years. We are a one-of-a-kind, growing, six-doctor general practice that’s mission is to build lasting relationships with patients and clients while advocating for animal wellness and pledge to provide compassionate veterinary care. We offer routine services from wellness care to surgical and dental procedures. Along with non-medical services such as boarding, daycare, and basic grooming.What makes VCA Stoney Creek different for Veterinary Assistants?Our leadership team has created and supported an environment where our Assistants can focus on their career, their happiness, their work-life balance, and of course the patients.The skills that you will utilize include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining electronic medical records.

Restraint for physical exams and procedures.

Handling and processing of samples for laboratory testing.

Assist Doctors and Technicians in patient care and client communication.

Admitting and discharging patients.

Routine cleaning and stocking

Processing pharmacy requests

Venipuncture

Radiology

Laboratory work

Client education

Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
