PC Technician

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled PC Technician to join our client's IT support team. The PC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing desktop and laptop computers, as well as related hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications on desktop and laptop computers.

Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.

Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including hardware cleaning, software updates, and system backups.

Provide technical support to users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.

Set up and configure new workstations, ensuring proper connectivity to the network and other resources.

Assist in managing and maintaining inventory of computer hardware, software, and other IT equipment.

Collaborate with other IT team members to implement solutions and improve system performance.

Document technical procedures, configurations, and solutions for future reference.

Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in PC hardware and software.

Requirements

Proven experience as a PC Technician or similar role.

Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11).

Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions.

Familiarity with common software applications and their installation processes.

Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting.

Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues, including motherboards, hard drives, RAM, and peripheral devices.

Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent are a plus.
