Enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.About this roleLead NPD Design Engineer, working independently. Assembles documentation packages, maintains product consistency with regard to technical design, oversees the development of detailed drawings using relevant tools.Key Requirements:

Oversees the production of models, drawings, BOMs and technical documentation using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) and PLM system

Responsible for the design of components, assemblies and packing, and utilizes data management systems to track and report progress of assignments.

Verifies drawing content for accuracy and completeness while adhering to industry design standards

Completes design tasks using PLM workflows

Coordinates work of junior level design/draftsperson, both local and off-site.

Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work and performance in meeting hardline schedule deliverables

Comfortable working through presentations in a group setting, running meetings

Able to develop consensus in a cross-functional setting

Ability to manage and maintain project data using appropriate tools

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of design experience

OR

Associate Degree with 5+ years of design experience

Preferred Qualifications

​Fully experienced with CREO (minimum of 3 years)

· Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 11

· Awareness and exposure to SAP

· Solid understanding and experience with drafting standards and procedures

· Experienced with the bill of material structure and databases

· Experience with change management and Engineering Change Requests & Engineering Change Notices

· Proven experience with complex 3D parametric modeling

· Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes

· Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes

· Experienced with Top Level Assemblies and Large Assembly Management

· Some experience with electrical components and subassemblies and their function a plus

· General understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and component
