We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounting Office Manager to oversee our financial operations and keep our office running smoothly.

Position Overview

The Accounting Office Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, overseeing administrative processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction industry accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, job cost reports, and budgets

Manage vendor contracts, purchase orders, and payment schedules

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

Support project managers with cost tracking, billing, and change orders

Maintain organized records for audits, permits, and licensing

Supervise administrative staff and ensure smooth office operations

Qualifications

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or general contracting

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

Strong knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting

Excellent communication and leadership skills

High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
