Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The role will primarily involve providing payroll support in a fully remote setting. The ideal candidate should be flexible with their working hours as needed and have experience with ADP Workforce Now.Key responsibilities: Operating and managing payroll functions using ADP Workforce Now. Assisting in the processing of payroll across multiple states. Utilizing accounting software systems for efficient payroll operations. Addressing and resolving any payroll related inquiries. Ensuring accurate record-keeping of payroll and related benefits functions. Monitoring and taking appropriate action on customer accounts. Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Maintaining accurate customer credit records. Working flexible hours as needed to ensure tasks are completed on time. Demonstrating a high degree of organization and attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience working as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is essential. Must have a strong understanding of Benefit Functions. Knowledge of Multi-State Payroll processing is necessary. Must possess strong skills in general Payroll duties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. High attention to detail and accuracy is necessary. Applicant needs to have the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
