job detailsjob summary:A Supply Management Planner is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Cary, NC area. This role involves scheduling and expediting material deliveries, managing supplier performance, implementing logistics processes, and supporting inventory and planning activities, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem resolution.location: Cary, North Carolinajob type: Contractsalary: $17.25 - 23.89 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: High Schoolresponsibilities:
Schedule and expedite delivery of purchased materials to support production plans.
Recommend premium logistic alternatives when appropriate.
Process non-conformances and expedite corrective actions.
Maintain relationships with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve performance.
Achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals.
Manage logistics requirements including containers, packaging methods, and agreements with suppliers.
Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance using Achieving Excellence processes and criteria.
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with people from different job functions via email and phone.
Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
Experience with materials planning or buying.
