Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Controls Engineer at our Raleigh, NC, facility. In this exciting role within our Process & Manufacturing Controls team, you'll be designing, programming, and servicing automated controls systems for a variety of industrial clients. Responsibilities will include the design and programming of a variety of industrial process control systems that integrate new and existing hardware and software. You'll also be tasked with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing customers' control systems as needed, as well as programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Servos, and VFDs. It's crucial that you understand UL 508A control panel construction and design requirements. You'll also support sales by providing estimates, controls hardware costs and labor hours for potential projects and ensuring compliance to NFPA 70E.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a contract-to-hire position (12 months).Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Cary, North Carolina and some days remote.Work EnvironmentThe workweek is M-F, 9-5.40 hours per week. Anything over that is booked as overtime. Our focus will mainly be supporting our largest client, but we are growing in the Raleigh area. This year we have four big projects outside of our main client. In the long term, we need someone willing and open to travel to local client sites in the Raleigh area. You'll be involved in upgrades to existing systems, new packaging lines, and conveyor systems, and general plant support. Performance of duties will be hybrid or on job sites; deployment to North Carolina job sites may be up to 100% of the time. Travel may be required up to 20%.
