SummaryYou will serve as a Supervisory Command Inspector General in the Readiness Section, 2nd Marine Division of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.ResponsibilitiesYou will be a principal advisor to the Commanding General, 2nd Marine Division, overseeing all investigations and inquiries into complaints affecting the Division and its members.You will plan and oversee the conduct of major inspections concerning Division-wide programs.You will formulate, implement, and evaluate specific Division policy, programs, and systems.You will provide impartial, factual reports of the findings of inspections, investigations, and inquires into the concerns of the Commanding General.You will plan, administer, and direct programs of the Readiness Section, including the Command Inspector General, Safety and Environmental Compliance, Personnel Security, and Equal Opportunity programs.You will supervise, assign work, and evaluate the performance for a staff comprised of military and civilian personnel.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Planning, researching, and conducting investigations and inspections to provide analysis and make recommendations on broad-spectrum operational and management issues; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze the effectiveness of administrative and technical programs that affect an organization's mission; 3) Developing and implementing policy, regulations, and guidance related to Inspector General actions, environmental compliance, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations; 4) Documenting findings and preparing written executive summaries and formal inspection reports to present recommendations to high-level officials; and 5) Communicating orally with senior management officials (e.g., General/Flag level staff, politicians, civilian leaders, and program officials) to brief, negotiate, justify, and/or defend recommendations to improve program efficiencies.
