We are seeking a fabricator and awning installation assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components based on blueprints, drawings, or specifications. Must have experience in welding techniques and be comfortable working on construction sites installing awnings for both residential and commercial customers. We will provide on the job training in both of these areas. Some overtime is needed. Bilingual preferred.
Duties
Cut metal according to specifications in a safe manner under the direction of a certified welder.
Fabricate metal components based on blueprints and technical drawings.
Utilize hand and power tools.
Install various types of awnings for commercial and residential customers.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Operate a forklift to move heavy materials.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Troubleshoot issues as they arise during the fabrication process.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in welding and fabricating.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills as needed.
