CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST POSITION. PLEASE STATE WHICH

work every day? We are a caring group of professionals in a chiropractic office who

share a desire to make a difference. We are a looking for 2unique individuals;

oneto coordinate insurance billing and help with administrative responsibilities

and patient care and one to perform receptionist duties and help with patient care

in a rapidly expanding, non-smoking, natural health clinic. Person hired for Medical

Billing positionwill be responsible for all insurance billing duties and be cross-trained

on receptionist work and patient therapies. Person hired for Chiropractic

Assistant/Receptionist position will be responsible for all patient therapies and be

cross-trained on receptionist duties and insurance billing.

Our office is located in southwest Asheville, NC. To qualify you must like teamwork and

be willing to give your best. In addition, you must be a self-starter who has great

customer service skills and is organized, enthusiastic, friendly, energetic and reliable.

Preferences will be given to those who have 4 arms, 7 legs and the ability to do 10

things at once! Experience with medical electronic billing and ICD-10 coding is

necessary. Pay will be determined based on experience. (Please include your wage

requirements and if you've had any previous chiropractic experience when responding.)

Requirements:

Must be a highly energetic, health oriented, enthusiastic, cheerful, and outgoing

individual with attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Prefer

you have 4 legs, 8 arms and the ability to do 10 things at once! Great people skills and

INSURANCE BILLING EXPERIENCE a must for medical billing position, great

computer skills a big plus. Past receptionist/ chiropractic experience helpful but not

needed - will train right person!

Hours (For INSURANCE BILLING POSITION):

Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00PM

Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00PM

Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours (For CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONISTPOSITION):

Monday: 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Tuesday: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Thursday:2:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Main insurance responsibilities will include:

·Claim Submission:Preparing and submitting insurance claims for medical

procedures and services.

·Patient Account Management:Establishing and maintaining accurate patient

accounts, ensuring proper billing procedures.

·Billing Discrepancy Resolution:Identifying and resolving billing errors,

communicating with insurance companies to correct mistakes.

·Patient Communication:Handling patient inquiries regarding bills, setting up

payment plans, and explaining coverage.

·Payment Processing:Tracking payments, ensuring timely reimbursement from

insurance companies.

·Claim Review and Appeals:Reviewing denied claims, preparing and sending

appeals to insurance companies.

·Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of billing

activities, claims, and payments.

·Compliance:Adhering to insurance regulations, guidelines, and best practices.

·Software Proficiency:Using billing software to calculate, prepare, submit, and review

medical bills.

·Collaboration:Working with medical coders and other healthcare professionals.

Additional Responsibilities:

·Pre-Authorization:Obtaining pre-authorization for certain medical procedures.

·Data Entry and Management:Entering and managing patient and billing data.

·Financial Record Keeping:Maintaining organized financial records and preparing

reports.

·Collection Efforts:Following up on unpaid bills and working to collect outstanding

balances.

·Customer Service:Responding to inquiries from patients, staff, and insurance

companies.

Skills and Qualities:

·Attention to Detail:Accuracy is crucial in billing and coding.

·Communication Skills:Effectively communicating with patients, insurance

companies, and other staff.

·Analytical Skills:Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies.

·Problem-Solving Skills:Addressing challenges related to billing and claims.

·Knowledge of Medical Billing and Coding:Understanding billing codes, insurance

guidelines, and best practices.

·Computer Skills:Proficiency in using billing software and related programs.

·Customer Service Skills:Providing excellent service to patients and insurance

companies.

Main receptionist responsibilities will include:

· Answering phones, with multiple incoming calls

· Scheduling appointments

· Greeting and friendly engagement with patients

· Entering charges correctly at checkout

· Taking payments, balancing collections and preparing bank deposit

· Maintaining inventory of office supplies

· HIPPA compliance

Main therapist responsibilities will include:

· Perform therapeutic modalities per doctor’s instruction
