Gardens for Living, a rapidly expanding company specializing in Landscape Installation and Maintenance, is seeking an Experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Member who has the potential to grow and train into a landscape maintenance foreman.We are committed to quality and are looking for like-minded, motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors.Responsibilities As a landscape maintenance crew member, you will work closely with the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor, Crew Leader, and other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard to promote the health and vitality of various landscapes, including gardens and lawnsPerforming routine tasks such as mowing,trimming, edging, clean up, blowtrimmings, fertilizing and watering turf areas, and performing other lawn care duties as directed by the crew leaderDig, lift,and load tools, and equipment on and off trailers and trucksSpray and dust areas to control insects and or weedsOperate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain sawsMove and install soil, mulch, and plant material to assist with the construction of landscape gardens and related areasWork strategically to perform tasks safely, efficiently, and effectivelyWork with urgency and purposeCommunicate with customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner. Answering any questions and addressing any concerns from clientsQualificationsTeachable attitude and a great teammateMinimum 2-3 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferredCapable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible mannerEffective time management skills and the ability to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signsAbility to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a teamPhysically fitto carry out strenuous tasks outdoors in various conditions. Including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and coldWear appropriate personal protective equipment at all timesCompensationExpect 40 – 50 hours per week in season (approximately March 1 – December 15) and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent).
