Join us in championing a digital mindset within the Electrical Sector Americas (ES-A) Manufacturing team as a Digital Factory Engineering Specialist IIoT. You’ll have the opportunity to develop project scopes of work, participate in Eaton’s global technology councils, and create and implement technology playbook standards while supporting our initiatives through Industry 4.0 Roadshows and Bootcamps.This position can be based out of any of our Eaton facilities in Waukesha, WI, Nacogdoches, TX, El Paso, TX, Asheville, NC, Raleigh, NC or Greenwood, SC.Relocation and sponsorship will be offered!The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:You will be responsible for developing a pipeline of projects and the necessary capital for our annual profit plan. This is carried out by leading major projects to integrate Industry 4.0 tools and technologies into our manufacturing operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Information Technology, Operational Excellence, Production Operations, Quality, and Facilities.Play a part in guiding and supporting plant teams on machine connectivity and data acquisition activities, and act as a liaison to divisional manufacturing leaders and plant teams. This work will help align Industry 4.0 project goals with continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on strategic value streams while assisting manufacturing teams in developing, submitting, and approving business cases for Industry 4.0 project opportunities.By providing training to key plant personnel on the Industry 4.0 tools and technologies, your impact will be felt when we deploy and ensure successful adoption and achievement of improvement objectives. Your work will drive accountability for project execution and deliverables and develop your knowledge and expertise in Industry 4.0 tools and technologies to become a subject matter expert (SME).Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What makes you successful?A thriving candidate will possess broad manufacturing process knowledge, including expertise in sheet metal fabrication, molding, assembly, wiring, painting, and machining. They will have experience in business case development, PLC programming, machine connectivity protocols, and digital data management software such as Thingworx, PCaT, and Ignition. Strong project management skills are essential.In terms of soft skills, success is driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously. You should be able to lead and influence business leaders without direct authority across various regions, cultures, and organizational levels. Strong problem-solving and creativity skills are crucial, as is experience in managing external consultants, suppliers, and tooling design/development companies. The ability to leverage resources effectively and achieve results through influence is important. Additionally, working in a matrixed environment, handling the complexities of projects and programs that cross divisional and operational boundaries is key.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial IoT solutions

Minimum of 7 years experience with PLC Programming, machine connectivity protocols, Kepware OR Digital data Management software (e.g. Thingworx, PCaT, Ignition, etc,

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management experience

Experience with managing external consultants, suppliers, and tooling design/development companies
