Software Developer responsible for programming web based Portal sites and

enhancements

Developer needed for strategic web development project. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to translate requirements into functioning systems. This person should have development experience and be a natural problem solver. Training will be provided in methodology of development platform. This is an exciting position for an entry level Developer who is looking to join a great team with a lot of potential for growth.

Responsibilities include:
  • Works on developing Portal sites and Portal enhancements for the Group Membership Association Department (GMAD).
  • Accountability for the successful implementation of all Portal development activities and support of the platform
  • Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
  • Performs detailed application design, coding and unit/integration/performance testing.
  • Provides ideas and solutions for support tickets in JIRA, improving release cycles to reduce bugs and issues across all environments, making each production release smoother and faster.
  • Excellent communication skill (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrates an ability to constantly look for ongoing technological improvements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in an intradepartmental team.

Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of web technologies JavaScript, HTML5/JS/CSS3/JAVA (Spring Boot), SQL (Oracle) , JIRA

Education Level:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline.
