Crew Leader – Windows, Doors & Siding
Comfort Windows & Doors is seeking a skilled Crew Leader to oversee and participate in the installation of windows, doors, and siding. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and support crew members to deliver high-quality installations.
Mentor new installers and encourage skill development.
Serve as the primary contact between crew, customers, and management.
Ensure professionalism and uphold company standards on every job site.
Installation & Technical Skills
Perform accurate measuring and cutting using saws and power tools.
Operate drills (including hammer drills) for installation tasks.
Fabricate and install custom aluminum trim.
Apply caulking with a clean, professional finish.
Safely lift and maneuver windows/doors weighing 50+ lbs.
Work confidently on ladders and scaffolding at various heights.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all company and job site safety policies.
Report hazards or concerns promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and protect customer property.
Comply with Comfort Windows and NY State vehicle requirements.
Operational Duties
Manage crew truck inventory, tools, and equipment.
Document and communicate job progress and needs.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
3–5 years of residential construction or installation experience preferred.
Prior leadership or crew lead experience strongly desired.
Strong knowledge of carpentry, window/door, and siding installation.
Hands-on leadership ability with excellent communication skills.
Dedication to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
