Being advertised is the availability of a job opening for an EXPERIENCED dental assistant. Definitely, we will ask for multiple references to verify your suitability for this position. We already employ an assistant who has 24 years of experience, the last 4 being here in this office. We need someone who is also is excellent in keeping the office clean, sterilizing instruments, managing inventory and simplifying the process of documenting the written progress notes the dentist enters for every patient. Mostly, we are looking for someone who stays within 15 feet of the dentist and attends to chairside assisting as a priority whenever there's a patient in the chair. Plan to be working in a traditional dental environment. We are strict about keeping the hours; 8:00AM -noon and 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Our practice is nearly 35 years old and has a substantial following of patients whose loyalty spans the entire life of the practice. The dentist refers out all ortho, most perio and most endo. We restore many implants but do not place them surgically. The lion's share of our revenue derives from primarily doing resins, amalgams, extractions, crowns, removable dentures, and, of course, dental hygiene. We will only hire someone who has vast experience using Dexis digital x-rays and at least a working knowledge of Eagle Soft clinical patient charting.
