I am looking for an extremely reliable caregiver/ “Direct Support Professional” to assist with the physical aspects of my neuromuscular condition as I navigate my home and community. I am wheelchair bound, with the use of one arm.
Your responsibilities would include: Grooming, toileting, meal prep/cooking, body repositioning, transferring, light housework and transportation in client’s own wheelchair accessible van; and if you choose, light medical tasks (with training) related to tube feeding and non-invasive oral suctioning. Equipment is on hand to help lift and reposition.
Some healthcare experience is required, either that you’ve similarly taken care of someone previously or have a certification/degree for nursing, homecare or nurses’ aide; general knowledge of paraplegia will prove applicable. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift 50 lbs.
The position has a minimum of 35 hours per week available:
M - F from 8am - 3p (temporary until further notice) OR permanent 3p-10p, with opportunity for additional hours later on.
Medical Tasks needed M-Sun from 7a - 8a AND / OR 10p - 11p

AccessCNY (medical and housekeeping tasks) $17.25/hr (onboarding process 1-2 weeks)
