Job Summary: Hiring multiple Psychiatric NP and PA candidates for a 1 year addiction fellowship. NP and PA candidates will work with an interdisciplinary team to learn how to deliver care for patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Fellows will participate in clinical and didactic experiences at multiple sites including inpatient rehab, outpatient clinics, community treatment, and University Hospital. Candidates will learn psychotherapy, psychiatric medication management, harm reduction, inpatient hospital consultations, and buprenorphine/methadone maintenance. Close psychotherapy supervision and didactic material is provided by Upstate Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for new graduates or professionals looking to learn how to provide care for patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.Standard ShiftDay shift. Hours may vary slightly on different sites.Weekly Schedule Monday to Friday. No weekends or call.Work SettingIn PersonMinimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered Psychiatric NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have Masters Degree, NPI number, DEA certification, and medical malpractice insurance.
