Senior Safety Advisor

The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Advisor to support Turner & Townsend in the delivery of safe and compliant construction projects, with a primary focus on Data Center and General Construction projects. This is a Sydney-based, Monday-Friday role with occasional regional travel as required. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining robust safety practices, systems, and procedures, ensuring the safety of our team, our clients, and the wider community. This role will also enable our business with Principal Contracting safety compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Implementation: Lead the on-site implementation of WHS Management Systems, ensuring adherence to T&T's safety standards and client requirements.Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites, including Data Center environments, to proactively identify potential hazards and risks.Training and Education: Provide comprehensive safety training and education to project staff, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and best practices.Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses thoroughly, identifying root causes and developing effective corrective and preventative actions.Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning, design, and execution.Data Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze safety data and trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive safety measures to enhance overall performance.Stakeholder Engagement: Participate actively in safety meetings and committees, contributing to the development and implementation of project-wide safety initiatives.Compliance and Liaison: Liaise with regulatory authorities, external stakeholders, and clients to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and best practices.Emergency Response: Lead emergency response and crisis management activities, including developing, maintaining
