Job Requirements

Previous experience in fast paced high volume kitchen

preferred but not required.

Ability to work well with others as well as complete tasks independantly

Part time hours will average 20-24 hrs per week.

To be considered for this Position you must have availability on evenings and weekends.

Tues thru Saturday

Open Shifts can vary slighlty from 3p-10p Closing Shifts from 6-12A Mon-Thurs 6-1:20A Fri & Sat

Job Description

Ultimate goal is to prepare food and produce hot, high quality food for the customers and to maintain a clean, orderly and efficient kitchen.

General Duties

1. Maintains a safe work environment at all times.

2. Helps maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.

3. Follows work schedule provided and reviews upcoming events.

4. Note/report any equipment problems or structural repairs to management.

5. Understands the responsibilities of all staff members and assists as much as possible whenever necessary as part of a cohesive team.

6. Maintains security of all restaurant supplies and inventory.

Kitchen requirements

1. Is in uniform on time for shift and is ready to work.

2. Understands and follows recipes, portion control and presentation for menu items as well as any special menu items for that day. Prepare requested items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.

3. Open shifts set up cook/prep stations and restocks items as needed throughout shift. Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. Closing shifts store and break down stations; scraping, cleaning and wiping down all cooking and other surfaces.

4. Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.

5. Continually washes all pots, pans, dishes and silverware throughout shift. Cleans dishwasher traps and grease traps at end of shift.

6. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas. 7. Helps maintain inventory by recording items that have been depleted from stock.

8. Cleans coolers and freezers, sweep and mop kitchen as needed throughout the day and at end of shift. Removes all garbage as needed keeping cans clean and sanitary as possible. Keep dumpster and outside area clean and free of clutter.
