Infant Mental Health Trainer/Facilitator, SPCC's Mary Ellen InstituteREPORTS TO: Supervisor of Mary Ellen InstituteHOURS: 25 hours per week, $26/hr.

Status: Non-Exempt, Some flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required.JOB SUMMARY: This position will be dedicated to facilitating training on Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) and Reflective Supervision for multidisciplinary professionals in the community who work with, or on behalf of infants, young children, and families. This position will provide consultation and implementation support services for professionals in the community who work within this field as well.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The IECMH Trainer/Consultant provides training that includes, but not limited to, IMH: Theory to Practice, IECMH, Trauma-Informed Care in Early Childhood Settings, Reflective Supervision/Consultation, and the DC: 0-5 (if certified by Zero to Three).

Consultation may include but is not limited to building IECMH competencies in a program/organization, provision of group reflective consultation, advocacy for IECMH competencies, developing and working collaboratively with community professionals and family partners.

Conducting assessment(s) of disciplined specific needs.

Customization of training and consultation services and products, as well as strategic planning. Facilitates relationships based on trauma informed and culturally responsive IECMH related trainings.

Facilitates reflective consultation groups at appropriate Endorsement/licensure level.

Familiarize with child-serving systems and continuously assess IECMH needs related to specific systems.

Complete monthly statistics, attendance, and documentation of services provided in platforms including Comet, Office 365 Suite, etc.

Assist with proposals and funder related reports as necessary.

Serves as an ambassador and representative for the Mary Ellen Institute and agency in the community.

Perform all administrative tasks related to the position including prompt responses to email communication, meeting project deadlines, and being prepared for all presentations/trainings.

In conjunction with the MEI Supervisor, manage requests for training from interested parties.

Collaborates and maintains working relationships with community agencies to ensure there are quality services rendered for children and families.

Actively participates in all levels of individual and group supervision.

Attends mandatory training, as well as program and community meetings.

Demonstrates a commitment to best practice, professional development and leadership.

Utilizes in person and virtual platforms and related tools for the successful delivery of services.

Exemplifies a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion work and delivering services within a trauma-informed and equitable lens.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or representative.QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Masters preferred in human services discipline, experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.

Strong understanding and experience working within the lens of IECMH and RSC.

Demonstrates high reflective capacity and practice, values relationship-based, trauma informed service provision with cultural humility and responsiveness. Endorsement through the New York State Association of Infant Mental Health (NYS-AIMH), or Endorsed within 12 months of hire, and maintained.
