Full time on site employment in Rochester NY, no remote or contract work is available.
Photos show a complicated project done in Microvellum, data uploaded to CNC for all parts. There is also a lot of typical casework and counter work.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in a commercial architectural millwork environment
Able to read and understand architectural drawings as basis for shop drawings
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Drafting: preparing detailed, organized, properly scaled and annotated drawings
Knowledge of architectural millwork raw materials
General knowledge of construction industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microvellum software (or CabinetVision, etc)
Experience with MS Excel software
Shop fabrication experience, CNC ops is a plus
Purchasing, issuing POs and interacting with vendors

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review job order and specifications such as: architectural drawings and specs, time schedule, field measurements, materials, appliance verification, plumbing & electrical, etc
Create (actually engineer) shop drawings for client approval. Not just pretty pictures, but actually engineered for fabrication
Prepare submittal packages including shop drawings, product data, finish samples, etc.
Implement changes to shop drawings for field dimensions, change orders, etc
Purchasing job specific materials.
Once shop drawings are approved, release detailed fabrication package to shop supervisor.
Attend job review meeting with the Project Manager and Shop Foreman to discuss status of materials and to review drawings to confirm accuracy.
Involvement in finding solutions for technical problems that may occur.
Be able to implement new processes and ideas established for the better of the company.
Constantly looking for ways to improve in all aspects for the improvement and growth of the company.
Shift: Monday thru Friday 7-3:30pm (occasional overtime)
Compensation:
Salaried position. Salary dependent on experience. Our comprehensive benefits include medical insurance, 401k plan,after 6 months, paid holidays and vacation after 90 days of employment.
