Sales Store Manager
Décor Fabrics & Design is a leader in custom, residential window treatments and home furnishings in Rochester, NY. We are seeking a Sales & Store Manager who works directly with the Interior Designers/Sales Associates performing various support tasks to ensure orders are completed correctly and efficiently. The onset of the Sales & Store Manager position will allow the store to better maintain the goal of driving sales and improving overall store profitability by providing a smoother customer interaction.
FT position available
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and assist Sales Associates as necessary, includes the following, but is not limited to
Checking price and availability on products
Ordering memos or placing products on reserve
o Completion of custom job summary (quoting form) including fabric yardage calculations for custom window treatments, upholstery, cushions, pillows, bedding, etc; or obtaining of fabric calculations from vendors
· Computer entry (QuickBooks) of quotes, sales orders, payments, and invoices
Log and track custom orders in sub-contracted vendor book (if applicable)
Includes checking in received product, ensuring all items are received for seamstress to complete custom products
Pulling stock or cutting items for custom jobs and labeling
Update Monday.com (order tracking system) with the following
receipt of products for custom jobs
in progress custom jobs specific to Rochester vendors
receipt of completed custom jobs
Log outgoing items on packing slip
Bag & label items
Complete the daily cash out sheet with daily store sales and scanning of daily paperwork, then file or recycle paperwork as necessary
Manage the store appointment invitations, reminders, and reviews for In- Home Consults
Light customer service includes but isn’t limited to:
Answering the phone, email
Collecting payments
Greeting customers
Guiding customers through the store
Setting customers up with a Designer Services if necessary
Working with the store team to maintain general store cleanliness and order
Assist with all merchandising activities (signage, displays, re-arranging)
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
The ideal candidate for the Sales & Store Manager must have the ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask while displaying a high attention to detail and discretion. They must possess professional written and verbal communication skills, analytical abilities, have an aptitude for problem solving.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
Proficient math skills
Willingness to work Saturdays
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, & Excel
PREFERRED:
Knowledge of soft home furnishings fabrication
Knowledge of QuickBooks
