The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards. This role requires a strong technical experience, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities
Create detailed designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment plants using advanced design software and tools.
Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints, analyze data, and provide recommendations for optimal design solutions.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Oversee the implementation of projects from conception to completion, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, staying updated with changes in regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate closely with civil, environmental, and mechanical engineers, as well as other professionals, to integrate various aspects of project design, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards, conducting inspections and providing technical support during construction.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing client concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Experience in water/wastewater design engineering.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other relevant design tools.
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience in drainage, grading, open roads, MicroStation, pumping station, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and sewer systems.
Project management experience.
Proficiency in site plan development.
