Schrdinger, a leader in the field of computational materials chemistry, seeks an intern to work on heterogeneous catalysis design tools and workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in computational heterogeneous catalysis simulations and will model heterogeneous catalytic processes of chemical conversion. The systems of interest are transition metals and oxide catalysts.

A successful candidate will:
  • work well in a collaborative environment
  • be able to work independently on heterogeneous catalysis mechanism elucidation
  • be eager to adopt good software engineering practices and methodologies

Required qualifications include:
  • familiarity with scientific language and concepts
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable qualifications include:
  • object-oriented programming in any language
  • Python development experience
  • familiarity with catalysis and reactivity concepts
  • be able to write clear, highly organized, and maintainable code
