Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Intern D (North Amityville, NY) Job Code: 16697 Job Location: North Amityville, NY Job Description:

Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products

Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required

Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation

Sustainment Engineering

Involved in the installation coordination for design, modification, maintenance, and repair of electronic assemblies, mechanical systems, and equipment installations

Applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design

Support transition from engineering design to manufacturing, assembly and installation of designed products

Application of principles supporting mechanical systems life cycle maintenance (repair, rework and designing replacement parts)

Opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and electronic assemblies on various installation platforms

Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills:

CAD (Creo preferred or similar) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures, and mechanisms

Familiarity with instrumentation, data collection and or automation and software programming for numerical analysis

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $25.00 - $47.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
